DESCRIPTION:Join us for an evening of creative inspiration! In this class\,
  you’ll learn how to stretch not just canvas but a variety of fabrics. B
 ring a fabric that holds a special memory and turn it into a unique textil
 e background for a painting or collage\, or use the materials we provide t
 o practice. We’ll offer a wide selection of fabrics that can make your c
 anvas frame the palette you never knew you needed. Painting on canvas does
 n’t have to start from a blank slate. Give your art a creative backgroun
 d that makes your work even more expressive. You can bring materials you h
 ave a sentimental attachment to\, like a baby’s shirt or a dress you’v
 e outgrown and no longer use. Fun textiles are everywhere\, and they’re 
 art in themselves. Using these as a background for your artwork can inspir
 e a completely new and different style to work with. Mod Podge\, acrylic p
 aint\, beadwork\, and patchwork are just a few techniques we’ll discuss 
 and explore in the workshop. We all have seen the good old artists canvas 
 that is prepped with gesso and ready to paint. But learning the simple ste
 p of stretching either raw canvas or reused material can open doors to you
 r creativity. Bring in one of those paintings you may have set aside and g
 ive its frame a new life. Grab two or three\, and combine them into an ent
 irely new piece using a fun collage technique to tie them all together. In
  this class you will learn how to do it all. Art classes at Sammie's offer
 s a vibrant and enriching environment where individuals can explore their 
 creativity\, develop new skills\, and express themselves through various m
 ediums. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist\, these classes
  provide an opportunity to learn techniques in painting\, drawing\, sculpt
 ure\, and multi re-usable mediums under the guidance of skilled instructor
 s. Additionally\, they foster a sense of community\, allowing people to sh
 are ideas\, collaborate on projects\, and gain inspiration from their peer
 s. All materials will be supplied. So all you need to bring is your creati
 ve mind. We have a great selection of curated cocktails and local beers to
  enjoy\, and snack boards are a pre ordered purchase that is available wit
 h your tickets. At Sammie’s Cafe\, we’re creating a welcoming space fo
 r multimedia artists to connect\, collaborate\, and share their expertise\
